The Best Shaving Cream For Women
Ladies, we are going to shave through the masses to find the best shaving creams and gels out there!
One thing is for certain: Grooming might not be at the top of your priority list, but, as a woman, it’s something that’s unavoidable.
Most of us want to keep our bodies free of hair and smooth-looking, which is why we need the right tools on our arsenals to get the job done right. Today I’ll be talking about one of the most underrated, yet one of the most essential pieces of gear that all women need: the best shaving cream for women!
I’ve already talked about the best razor for the bikini area as well as the best razor for legs, but now it’s time that I showed you the other component of getting perfect shaving results.
Why Should You Use Great Shaving Cream?
Well, that’s simple really. Women’s shaving creams and gels help lubricate the skin. This, in turn, lowers any friction on the legs, effectively reducing your risk of problems such as bruises, cuts, and nicks.
The deal with shaving creams and gels looks a little something like this: the better your weapon, the better your results. Use a bad shaving cream, and I guarantee that you’ll get the same results you would have had if you’d use a bar of soap to lube things up!
With this in mind, I’ve made a little list. My list contains 5 of the best shaving creams and gels for women, designed to help you achieve perfect results when shaving, each and every time! Have a look at my selection…
5 Best Women’s Shaving Creams
Number One – The Art of Shaving Cream
Okay so I’ll say it: this is kind of a shaving cream that’s marketed with men in mind, but do I mind? Heck no! I love The Art of Shaving Cream, especially the Lavender version! You see, the reason for this being my number one pick is because it really smooths and rejuvenates the skin, and since that was what it was formulated for, I’d say that it does a splendid job at it!
The Art of Shaving Cream is odorless and also free of any alcohol, which means that it can be used on eve the most sensitive of skin types.
One of my biggest issues with this shaving cream is that it comes packaged in a concentrated block, resulting in consumers having to emulate it with some water to make it easier to use.
The Pros:
- It rejuvenates and smooths skin
- It’s thick and creamy, providing superior lubrication
- It comes available in a range of scented versions
The Cons:
- It comes in a thick block and isn’t always easy to apply without diluting it with some water.
Number Two – Lady Cremo Shave Cream
Thanks to its amazing coconut hints and the fact that it has an impeccable texture, Lady Cremo Shave Cream is hugely popular, and it’s one of my personal favorites!
Lady Cremo Shave Cream is super long-lasting and it doesn’t foam up. What this means is that this shaving cream lasts and lasts, and using just a little will get the job done for sure. The fact that the consistency is foamless also equates to a much lower risk of nicks and cuts, and razor burn threats can safely be placed at the back of your mind.
Sure it’s not the cheapest female shaving cream on the market, but I reckon that this stuff is worth every single penny you’ll spend on it!
The Pros:
- Has a thick, creamy consistency
- You only have to use a little bit at a time
- Hydrates the skin and has a great coconut smell
The Cons:
- It’s not cheap
Number Three – Kiss My Face Moisture Shave
So I’m a big Kiss My Face fan, and their Moisture Shave is no exception to the rule. One of the biggest draws to the Kiss My Face brand is because these folks produce amazing products and sell them at prices that “normal” folks, like you and me, can actually afford.
I like to use the pomegranate-grapefruit scented version of the Moisture Shave, but they come available in a wide range of scents, and they’re also available in scentless versions, for those of you who prefer non-perfumed products.
With the addition of Aloe Vera and Olive Oil in the cream blend, Moisture Shave leaves my skin feeling smooth and rejuvenated after a shaving session!
The Pros:
- It hydrates and smooths the skin
- It has soothing Aloe Vera and Olive Oil in the blend
- It’s easy to use and a little goes a long way
The Cons:
- Moisture Face won’t stretch as far as most other commercial shaving creams that foam will, making it a bit of a beauty splurge.
Number Four – EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream
A lot of you have probably heard about EOS Skincare before, and there’s a good reason for that. As one of the leading skincare brands of our modern market, EOS produces amazing products that actually do what they’re supposed to do. Their Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream doesn’t disappoint.
Seriously packed with moisturizing ingredients and essential nutrients, this cream is the bomb, or the beast, it just does a great job! Smooth enough to be used wet or dry, the EOS Shave Cream is also packed with antioxidants which may help increase the radiance of your skin, boosting that flow-effect we all desire.
Some folks have complained about the cream being too creamy in the past, but that’s a bridge that can easily be crossed by using just a little less product and a little more water!
The Pros:
- It’s very moisturizing
- Packs the power of antioxidants and nutrients to boost the skin’s radiance
- Can be used wet or dry
The Cons:
- Some folks say this cream is too creamy
- It’s not the cheapest option out there
Number Five – Skintimate Shaving Gel
Come on ladies, you all know the Skintimate name. Its hands-down one of the market’s most popular saving gels for women, which is why I had to put it on this list!
Skintimate Shaving Gel contains some seriously great moisturizing ingredients which aim to keep the skin hydrated and keep the risk of irritation down as low as possible.
I love this shaving gel because it delivers and makes saving that much more effortless. It also takes care of your skin and won’t break the bank if you include it in your beauty budget. High quality for an affordable price, I think that’s the reason why this pick will stay one of my favorites for the foreseeable future.
The Pros:
- It hydrates and smooths the skin
- A little goes a long way
- It’s suitable for users with very sensitive skin types.
- It’s affordable
The Cons:
- It’s a foaming texture, which means that nicks and cuts are more possible when using this gel than it would be when using a cream-base shaving product.
Picking The Shaving Cream That’s Right for You
Shaving creams have been around (in canned form anyway) since 1941, and today, these products are some of the easiest to use and even easier to find just about anywhere.
Shaving creams – the kinds that lather up – usually contain anywhere between 30 and 50 percent fat, in the form of coconut or olive oil which does not penetrate the skin. They also contain glycerin, which helps provide the best possible protection against nicks and razor burn.
Personally, I stay away from gel shaving mediums as far as possible because they often contain synthetic perfumes, the number one cause of skin irritations. Furthermore, these products may also contain artificial colors and dyes as well as alcohol, making the skin even more susceptible to razor burn.
Picking the best shaving cream for women is a thing you’ll do based on your budget and of course the beauty goals you have in mind. Remember to check out the ingredients listed on the back of your product before you make your final choice!
