How To Choose The Best Blender For Margaritas
Hosting a party or planning to entertain guest? If so you should consider serving delicious margaritas. Learning how to choose the best blender for margaritas is sure to make your party go off without any snags. Margaritas come in a variety of different flavors but the original margarita is still the most popular. This timeless cocktail consists of triple sec, limejuice, and tequila. It is traditionally served on the rocks or with the ice blended to give it a slushie type feel. Salt is also placed on the rim of the glass to add the finishing touches.
There are a number of margaritas origin stories, many dating back to 1930’s Mexico. Perhaps one of the best origin stories comes from Mexico during the fall of 1941 by a bartender named Don Carlos Orozco. As the story goes a famous Ziegfeld dancer by the name of Marjorie King was visiting the bar where Don Carlos worked at.
This dancer, in particular, had allergies to a majority of the liquors in stock but not to tequila. This is somewhat amazing considering how strong the stuff is. Don Carlos had been experimenting with a couple different drinks so he decided to unveil his new tequila concoction to the Marjorie. Upon tasting the drink she exclaimed how delicious it was and how it is sure to be one of the main draws to the bar. She was so pleased with the drink that Don Carlos decided to name the drink after her and the name margarita was born.
It wasn’t until 1953, when the December issue of Esquire magazine published the official recipe, that margaritas made their way from the west coast to the rest of the world. Today margaritas are a staple in the bar industry with many bars primarily focusing on them as their main draw. Restaurants such as Margaretville have added to the public’s interest in this potent but tasty drink. In 2015, a global survey concluded that margaritas are the fifth most popular drink in the world and the one most popular drink among women worldwide.
Margaritas are by far the most popular tequila drink and because of this, there has been an explosion in margarita flavors and variations. Peach and strawberry margaritas top the list of alternative flavors. Over the years, I have tried many flavors of margaritas and few have made their way into my personal recipe book. These are a couple easy to make margaritas that are sure to keep your taste buds cheering.
